BTH points rotor

[attachment=1]magneto 002.jpg[/attachment]Just wondered if anyone out there wants to do a swap, I have a LH BTH points rotor and need a RH BTH points rotor, I understand the LH fits an anti clockwise rotation viewed from the driven end and would suit a single downtube type Scott, the RH type is the more familiar Scott type and fits a clockwise driven magneto, please have a look at the photos and contact me if you can help. Hi Alan,
I think that the points in the bottom photo are Lucas, not BTH ? I am looking for a complete anticlockwise magneto for my next rebuild, a 1930 single downtube frame Flyer, that you currently have the engine for. I can exchange an excellent clockwise BTH or excellent Bosch magneto.

Yes I realise that the LH set is not a mirror image of the RH set, it was fitted to a clockwise BTH mag obviously by mistake, and the taper and key are exactly the same also the fibre heel for the moving point is at the correct radius, I have a few Lucas mags and the nearest match uses a pressed steel moving point although the rotor looks similar, I have also seen an IEC mag with a similar rotor and points, so maybe all the makers copied each other. So if a swap is out of the question has anyone a BTH RH points rotor for sale. Alan Noakes. scottworkshop@hotmail.co.uk
