Due to amalgamations of classes, we only had two races.
I had believed that we were on the faster full circuit, so had geared tall.
In fact we were on the short circuit, so we were overgeared.
Because of this, Paul was second behing Ian Bain, but the two of them were well clear of the rest of the field.
We re geared and won the second race.
There is a big meeting at Donnington on the last weekend of the month with motorcycle champions of different diciplines racing identical machines in road race, trials, super moto etc. We are invited to be in supporting feature races. It would be good to show what a Scott can do to a significant modern audience. It might tempt a few to consider joining us!
We are currently making a full spec racer for a USA customer who saw it in action at Cadwell. My mum used to say that “If the world does not know you exist, you might as well be dead!” I think that also applies to Scotts and the SOC. So— Fly the fly the flag whenever you can!
We are not going to live forever and we need new younger members to be the custodians of our bikes after we check out!
Kind Regards
Roger
