Richard and I are going to take part in a Classic track Day at Cadwell on Friday 26 Sept. This tempts out some very nice vintage and classic bikes where the owners would rather not get involved in the hurly burly of racing. For those who do not realise, the British Historic Racing (BHR) do, in fact put on what are termed P5 and P6 parades. These are not obvious terms to describe these events as they are dictated by the ACU. In fact a P6 parade is just like a track session and you just enjoy going at a pace that suits you. On Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th there follow the BHR races at Cadwell and we are looking forward to this as it has been part of our family tradition since the last ice age! Richard has a small problem and is on his way up from Devon this evening (23-09-14) so we can put things right for the weekend. It is always good to meet fellow Scott riders and to show to others that the marque is alive and well.
Just for those who might not have picked up on this before, son Richard has an interesting website at https://www.racingoutoftime.co.uk that is well worth a visit. This week I sent to him a chart of performance data from a range of Scott engines and some competitors such as Douglas tested by Scotts in the early to mid 30’s. It’s amazing what turns up! Kindest Regards Roger
