A week ago we drove the Windmill Rally in Penzberg (Germany, below Münich). The surrounding was beautifull and so where the mountains (Alps), but my Scott didn’t like them.
A lot of times I had to go back to first gear resulting in boiling water.
After filling up, again boiling water, halting the machine and after a quick examinaation it appeared that the water even came out at the screws on top of the cilinder head. So end of the Windmill Rally and continuing by car.
After detaching the parts it appears that piston springs were causing the difficulties and also the main gasket had had it’s best time.
Overheating of the engine, also caused that the nice dark red colour of it’s cilinder changed to black.
Before rebuilding I would like to colour the cilinder red again, but:
Can anyone tell me what paint should be used to get the nice red colour again (and keep it red) ?
