H i all,
I have put Val’s funeral arrangements in the Members’ Area of the website.

Has anyone any information regarding what actually happend to Val?

I canot find any record of a coroner’s report anywhere, and I’ve combed the motorcycle press but not come across any reference to his untimely departure – which apart from anything else, I think is something of an oversight given his promenence over the years.

At Val’s funeral his brother Ross stated that an initial coroner’s report stated that the post-mortem had failed to find a medical cause, (such as a heart attack, stroke, or ruptured aneurysm) that might have caused Val to fall in his neighbour’s garden and sustain head injuries. However he released the body for cremation, but ordered more tests on retained tissue samples. I have heard nothing since.
