Hi Keith, I’m mystified so far about the Haven. All locked up, nobody about, and no note on the door to inform visitors what is happening. I’m told it has been like that for more than a week. In the past twenty plus years this is the third or fourth time that this has happened. It has been fairly obvious that they have been struggling for a long time, and the place needs a lot of upgrading to make it up to a better standard. For many years the John Deere tractor and agricultural equipment firm at nearby Langar have kept the place going, as people attending their training courses have always stayed there. Maybe they have lost that business, but I really don’t know.
I have a month to find a new venue, and will certainly pay the Unicorn a visit, also the Lime Kiln at Cropwell Bishop, so “Watch this space”,
