Hi all I have just returned to Scotts from an era when leaded petrol was the norm as was castrol xxl, can anyone enlighten me as to implications if any of Lead free and or lead substitute fuel, and suitable modern oils for engine lubrication? have not put the Scott a 1936 Flyer on the road yet, want to be sure of a few facts first, many thanks.

The one good thing about lead-free petrol as far as Scotts are concerned is that it no longer promotes plug “whiskering”.

No mods are necessary to the engine, other than possibly retarding the ignition a few degrees.
