I’m sorry to have to report that Eric died last Monday.

Although he had not been a Club member for some time I’m sure that he would be known to many members.

When I get information on his funeral arrangements I will make a further post.

Eric will be missed, as a regular rider on the Early Motor Bicycle event and as knowledgeable man who was good company.

Oh how sad.

Eric had veteran Scotts of 1913 & 1914 which he rode widely and courageously, while I timidly rode my 1913 on quiet lanes only.

Trevor Scott summed him up as ” one of life’s gentlemen”

Eric’s funeral will be at Askrigg church at 2pm on Tuesday 18th April.

It will be followed by a wake at the Wensleydale Pantry, Hawes (above the Spar shop) and anyone proposing to go to this is asked to contact Ian at Cellar Antiques 01979 667224 so that he can make an estimate of numbers.
