Not only is today the Queen’s birthday, born in 1926, but it is also the birth date of SOC NW member Ernie Horsfall, born in 1918 – Yes, he’s 100 years old today!
He still drives down from Preston to attend our NW Section meetings and has had a lifetime of Scotts. He worked at Jowetts for a while and was still piloting light aircraft until he was 90.
A tough Yorkshireman with plenty of anecdotes; I hope to see him this afternoon, and doubtless hear a few more!
