Festival of 1000 Bikes Mallory 8&9th July

Ian Parsons did a great job for us all in organising the club stand.
With the sterling assistance of others including Ernie Thomas Gill Swan, Jon Hodges, Richard Duffin, Julie Mathews and many others.
A lot of interest was shown in a good and varied display of about 8 bikes on the club stand.
In other areas were Scotts participating in the track sessions where spectators could see Charles Windsor and Martin Heckscher joined by Ian Parsons demonstrating why we cherish our Scotts.
If you missed it, you missed a good weekend.

I would also like to record that Ian and Co. did a great job at the VMCC Festival of a 1000 Bikes.

I had not planned to attend (hence no offer to help Ian), but at the last minute a close friend offered my wife and I a couple of tickets so we could see his wife ride their Norton (their 2-speeder Scott was also entered, but on the day was too tempremental and we did not get it to start until after the time of their session). We were really impressed by the effort of the SOC.

I also thought that the club put on a good display, (my own FS was flying the flag on the West Wilts VMCC pitch.) It was very nice to chat to the genuine, friendly folk manning, and womaning the stand. Good show.

I would like also to thank Roger Moss for bringing his racer along to display on the SOC stand. It was interesting to note how much attention his new engine attracted from passers by. Thanks Roger and get well soon.
