Festival of Jurby videos inc open piped TT bike

Hello all,

I’m over on the Isle of Man for the Manx GP and have been doing some vids while here. First are from the festival of Jurby held on 26/8/12 run without any noise limits. That means I ran with open pipes on the 1928 TT bike and two videos are below, one from trackside and one from onboard. You don’t get much more yowl than this….

You will notice I also got a certain TT rider to grace the bike with his presence although the number of levers and those vintage style tyres had him looking nervous!

Glad you enojyed it. I’ve just completed the closed roads lap in terrible conditions on the mountain, high head winds and rain with fog. Looks like the on board camera took exception to all the water, but if I can get get the footage off I’ll post that one up too.

That’s just how the weather was in the 1928 Senior TT, which gave the Scotts a bit of an edge due to their superior roadholding compared to most of the opposition, but by 1929 they were outclassed, and achieved very little.
