Thanks to this Forum and help from a member I now have a tank for my 1930 TT rep. – This tank is slightly larger ansd I suspect predates the origonal (althouigh I could be wrong!)
Only problem I’ve got is the filler necks are not for the cast alloy butterfly caps that were fitted to the old tank. – Theseones take a bayonet fitting – the necks are 2.205″ ID with 2 internal bayonet pins about 1/8″ in dia. thee is also a small ‘d’ shaped secuing lug behind each neck
Can anyone help with a pair of caps to fit?
