Have completed rebuild of 1950 Flyer, needed to add fuel to tank,(local fuel station 1/4 a mile from house)so have completed 20 miles just to try her out and check every thing is working( first ever ride on a “Scott”)every thing seems fine ,Dowty forks remained up (thanks Eddy),gear change link fell off returned home in third, what a ride pulls like a train, sounds great i,m a convert, need a new excuse for tomorrow, will have to bed in brakes.
Nice work Dave..The first ride on my two speeder was intoxicating…Riding along enjoying the efffortless roll on performance of such a torquey motor…fantastic!!!…enjoy the good times…my scott is the only bike i have owned that i can love and hate in equal measures,,sometimes in the same day!! 😀
Good to see the weather picking up and bikes coming out of hibernation. I fixed my broken spokes yesterday and started installation of a new voltage reg and dynamo so I can have lights that actually work this season! MOT next weekend I hope then time to take on the Northern Road Run championship which starts mid April. About time a Scott won it!
Bike passed MOT today, went too local DVLA office on “Panther” for tax disc, completed a ride of about 20 miles on “Scott”,bit of bad news drained oil from crankcases,r.h clear but very small amount of brass/bronze filelings in left, any ideas on possible source?I was thinking the gudgeon pin area!
