Frame respray

After a considerable amount of time,I have degreased,derusted and depainted the frame. What a job that was !! The next job is to spray paint it.
I have blanked off the steering head,in order to protect the races,but what about the other holes.Should the engine bolt holes,the magneto tray holes etc etc be blanked off and if so what is the best method. I did notice that the insides of some of these holes had previosly been painted,presumably by the factory, (to protect from rust ?). Opinions please. Roger Hulett

In my opinion blanking of other holes than the steering head is not neccesary. These holes are large enough that after spraying the bolts etc. will still fit.

Even when powdercoating I only block of holes with thread. If needed I pass a drill through smaller holes after coating/painting.

I guess in the factory they did not bother with blanking the holes out of a cost aspect.
