It would probably be very expensive to send it up from the Antipodes, but thank you very much for the reply and interest. I’ll see if a frame turns up in the UK for a while, and if no success I’ll get back to you. There is a rumour that someone has “several” unused pre-war frames, including some with the lug for hand gearchange, so they must be what I’m after, but it seems almost impossible to get a reply to phone calls, emails, and letters. What I need I suspect is an ‘introduction’ from someone who knows him well.
