I’ve just acquired a 1938 Scott, so considerably later than my usual late 1920s bikes, and it has a speedo drive gear inside the front 7″ Webb hub, possibly a bit earlier than the rest of the bike. It is the 7″ Webb with a water deflector riveted to the brake plate. I have the speedo drive gearbox that screws onto the brake plate, but the pinion that meshes with the big gear in the hub is missing. The wheel rim diameter is 21″ but I don’t know the relevant gearing for the speedo required for that wheel size. So I’m wanting either just the pinion, or a complete drive gearbox please.
