Fuel tank cap

Has anyone got a scruffy (but functional) fuel cap for a ’36 Flyer that they would be willing to part with?

My tank has a lovely old oil filler cap that is worn down to the brass but the fuel cap is a new shiny one which just looks wrong.
The rest of the bike is scruffy (and I like it that way!) so the fuel cap really does look wrong!

Alas, the only spare cap that I can find is an oil compartment cap, stamped CASTROL “XL” MOTOR OLIE GEBRUIKT. So no use to you as a petrol cap. I presume it is some sort of an export market cap, and if it is of any interest to somebody reading this, do let me know !

I have got two 1 has been painted the other is just scrufy. you can have them both for the price of the post. eric

The fuel cap turned up day. I works a treat and looks much more in keeping with the rest of the bike than the shiny one that it’s replacing.

What do I owe you for P&P? Do you want a cheque or some 1st class stamps?
