I have copied below, the latest info that I have received via email about Harry
Latest news is encouraging. He was very poorly for 36 hours post-op but then rallied yesterday afternoon and has had a stable night. So far he has cleared the major hurdles of getting to the hospital alive ( 2 in 3 don’t ) and getting into theatre ( 1 in 5 don’t ) and survived the surgery. He has age (seventy eight) and lifetime smoker against him but there is also good reason for hope in the post-op period. He is a naturally optimistic and strong character which certainly helps the body to recover.
I have to thank Meke Fennel for keeping me up to date re Harry whilst I am in NZ.
