Just did the Ixion run, organised by Sunbeam MC from Bexhill. With the return journey from Brighton included mileage totalled well over 100 miles. This may not seem much to some members… but was the biggest one day mileage yet (in my ownership) for my 86 year old Flying Squirrel (with 1945 engine). Could I ask what daily mileage people feel comfortable doing on their Scotts??
The only problem with a group run is that ones speed is pegged down to the slower machine… and he is usually at the front… and knows the route! Whilst some bikes are happy to potter along at 28mph the Flying Squirrel is begging for more ‘go’…
