I’m just about to switch over to crossover (previously drippers) on our 1948 Flyer (standard Amal). I will be running 25:1 petroil so will need to jet up accordingly. Can anyone advise what changes are required? Will it just be a main jet change or will I need to raise or change needle as well?
Owners were advised to Jet up 10% when ETHANOL appeared at the Pumps. This should be enough for Petroil, But the colour
of the Plug will give you the answer when running. This equates to standard jet 170 to 190 or 200. The needle should be OK
Cheers! I’m pretty sure I have a 180 in there at the moment but if anything it was running a tad lean last year based on plug colour so I think I will go up a size or two to play safe.
