Hello again
Since I joined the list I have sold my 1948 Shipley, and bought another 1948 Shipley!
This was previously engineer owned( Jim Shelly) and has undergone a number of retro modifications, including oil feeds, magneto conversion, and, rather bizarrely, a folding kickstart-which immediately broke!
Are standard kickstarts still around, or do I weld this monstrosity up once and for all?

It also has a leaking rad, any cure?

The SOC spares scheme should have some cranked kickstarters (or at least the castings). But I do not know if that is the right type for your bike.

And a leaking rad… well do a search of the forum and you will find quite some info!
