Klaxon model number ?

Hi, Can anyone tell me the Klaxon horn model number that was used in the early 30’s and fitted with the Scott face plate. ?

Alternatively, does it really matter as long as its a Klaxon, it will be fitted with the Scott Club reproduction face plate. ?

Unless you’re a rivet counter, it doesn’t matter! Under my original Scott horn cover (which was used as a pattern for the reproduction ones),  I’ve got a Lucas horn. Who can tell the difference?

I think that the model used was a Kaxon Kifo. They come up for sale occasionally on ebay – I got a new old stock example a few years ago. Otherwise “Taff the Horns” (Lynn Isaac) supplied me with another but I note from his site that he is out of stock at present. I always thought that the screws holes on the Scott cover were in the wrong place for Lucas horns, but from what Dave says I must be wrong.

Mine came with the cover fitted to the Lucas horn but the horn may not have been the original fitment. Someone, somewhere, sometime……
