before riding to Abbotsholme I decided to cure the coolant leak from my engine.
It was leaking on the top and and the bottom, it wasn’t very much but enough to make a small puddle under it when it stood for a week.

I also have some questions; on the last picture you seen the top off the barrel.
The left hole for the sparkplug has a ring on the bottom off the thread, the right one is missing a part off the ring.
How can I get the head watertight? with some fiberrings around the sparkplug holes?
Also where can I obtain new or NOS nuts for thightening the head?
The cylinder spark plug ferrules, ring nuts, washers etc are all available from the SOC spares scheme. The ferrules are available in 14mm and 18mm sizes, so go for 14mm if you want to use modern plugs.
I spent the day at Roger Moss’s emporium of excellence yesterday. I’m certain that he could help you, perhaps by removing the corroded metal and fitting decent inserts? Having seen Roger’s work, I reckon he could walk on water……
