I`m looking for parts for my Scott Flying Squirrel ( 1936, 600 cc). Especially the following parts:
– handlebar with all the levers
– the front and rear fender
– saddle
– rear stand
Please contact me if you can help me.
Hi, I own a 1937 600 cc Fylinq Squirrel. I’m interested in pictures of your model to see which changes were made from 1936 to 1937. I must check my small spare parts collection to see if I can help you. My email address is alex@helfrich.
I’m looking forward to get your pictures,
Alexander
Hello Hanjo
For fenders (mudguards) try Renovation Spares, 49 Feckenham Road, Headless Cross, Redditch, UK, B97 5AS. Tel 01527 543796. They should have Scott pattern mudguards in stock but will manufacture ones to dimensions and photographs if necessary including valances and so on if needed. I think your mudguards should not have valsnces.
For handlebars try Armour Motor Products (Bournemouth) Limited, 784 Wimbourne Road,Moordown, Bournemouth BH9 2HS Tel 01202 519409, http://www.armoursltd.co.uk. There is a down-load of the catalogue available as it is often difficult to get through by telephone. Armours make a number of styles of handlebar in either 1 inch or 7/8 inch diameter unfinished or chromed. I do not know whether you need 1 inch or 7/8 for 1936 or whether they should be chromed or black like earlier bikes. (I would like to know if anyone can enlighten me). I have used what are referred to as Norton touring style (I think).
Armours will also do passable (but not strictly correct) handlebar controls and levers. If anyone knows of a decent source of handlebar controls I would like to know.
Armours also do a saddle type seat, again passable but not strictly correct. You might find a period saddle for sale on ebay.
I think that the Owners Club offer the side castings for a rear stand. If not try Tim Sharp, 14 Hazel Beck, Cottingley Bridge, Bingley, West Yorkshire, BD16 1LZ.
Good luck with the rebuild !
I have a stock of rear mudguards that were made to the pattern off a 1928 Scott, 15″ rasdius 4 7/8″ wide D section about 52″ long overal. $55.00 plus shipping.[/img]

I`m interested in the mudguard. Do you know if this one will fit to my Flying Squirrel 1936 ? How much does the shipment cost to Germany ?
Could you be so kind to send me some photographs of the mudguard ( rekopp@arcor.de )
Best Regards
Hanjo
