I am looking for a Lucas ampèremeter for my Scott Flying Squirrel 1938. The previous owner has fitted a bad quality replica instrument with only + and – indications, which peaks at 3 amps.

The correct instrument has 8-4-0-4-8 indications, DISCHARGE and CHARGE, and has the following text below the pointer: JOSEPH LUCAS LTD BIRMINGHAM ENGLAND

The instrument bezel is 1 1/2″ across, and the ampèremeter is mounted on top of the headlamp above the light-switch in the usual manner.
