Unfortunately, the photographs are evidently too large to download to this site and I cannot show them here.
So, if anyone wants to see photographs of my refurbished Lucas MS31 headlight mounted on the front of my (incomplete) TT Rep, send an email to me at pm.smith(at)o2.co.uk (please note that the ‘o’ in ‘o2’ is a letter not a number).
Because it’s a 1920’s unit, it’s not correct for my 1930 TT Rep, so, willing to swap for a later suitable Lucas headlamp.
If my offer is met by the usual suspicion/indifference/’I might take it, if it’s for nothing’ attitude, then I will simply put it on the bike, because it looks really good.
No hate answers please! No, disregard that, hate is better than apathy.
And here is a little poem I composed to help those needing a bit of help understanding the meaning of life.
See that cow in the meadow there,
eating all the grass,
last night I saw a green woodpecker,
fly right up it’s arse.
Some would argue that, had the woodpecker possessed (and used) a Lucas MS31 headlight, he (or, indeed, she) might not have ended up in this invidious position. Others may well argue that it wouldn’t have made any difference anyway, because a woodpecker does not possess an on-and-off switch or a battery, for that matter. Others might simply smile knowingly. Others will state that they couldn’t care a monkey’s about the woodpecker and ‘If the headlight’s not being offered for nothing (plus p/p, of course, to be paid by the sender) then they are definitely not interested’.
Ahh! Life’s like that innit?
Chris.
