The first reply I got from a friend that sells these kind of bikes from time to time is:
He noticed that the tank is in a lot better condition than the rest of tinwork on he bike. Terrot bought MD and the same motorcycle was sold under both names. The main difference was that Terrot had a somewhat more square tank. The tank on the bike is MD but if it really is a MD this should also be on other parts like rubbers etc. on the bike.
Furthermore the bike look pretty original and complete. He also said that French twostrokes are of relatively low value so a restoration would certainly cost more than the bike will be worth afterwards.
