ML magneto cap

I have an ML magneto on my 27 flyer I have no end cap it must be a standard size (ie used on lucas or bth) as I found a Bakelite one that fits the circumference unfortunately its too deep (ie sticks out too far) and strains the pillar clip and also prevents advance and retard rotation movement, assuming ML mag covers are rocking horse poo what else do I need to look for that will fit?

Clip pillars come in different lengths, so if you can’t find an alternative cap you could always fit a longer pillar.

I think I will make an extension pillar amazingly (perhaps not as I think ML was British) the thread looks like 7/32 X 24 and a whitworth form luckily I have a tap and can soon get a die. that way I can trim it to clip firmly but not too firmly
