Some owners who can accept some deviation from original, may be interested in the brand new BT-H magdyno

My BT-H mag has given total satisfaction under the most strenuous racing conditions.
I am very suprised that Tony can produce a combined unit like this to sell at the same price as a mag alone.

The renegades with the large lucas dynamo, could save it on the shelf and use this unit for modern output and reliability.

This looks like a really promising development. My own vintage Flyer’s magdyno cannot charge at a high enough, sustained rate to power the bulbs i’ve got fitted (unless i’m doing about 45mph without slowing down). I’ve often thought about modifying the three brush dynamo charging system but even then it’ll never give anywhere near the 100watts available from an alternator. Anyway i’ve registered my interest as it seems worth it just to get a decent magneto, the fact there’s an alternator too is a real bonus – let’s hope the unit goes into production and I don’t have to rely on moonlight to navigate round next year’s Cotswold Night Trial !!!!.

Hi Paul
Tony’s mag is actually a generator, it sends the output to external coils and the spark is triggered from within the unit I think he has increased the output (12V) to cater for other electrical needs.
Personally I can not recommend Tony’s products highly enough!
