Hi Chaps
Thank you for your assistance and encouragement so far. With the plugs installed and the carb fettled the old girl’s been pretty good. Until yesterday. I went to my goddaughters to hand out presents, and the Scott was much admired. As I got on the bike to go I was thinking ‘please start’ -we’ve all been there, I’m certain!
Needless to say, it wouldn’t-doh. So it’s out with the plugs, expecting them to be oiled, but no, no spark! I have a kill switch on the frame tube near the Magneto, so I thought that maybe it’s stuck, causing a straight earth. As I tap it it falls to pieces and bits drop into the magneto chain area. An hour and a half later I was on my way, having dismantled large chunks of Scott and bodged the wiring…….at the kerbside.
Such are the joys of Scotting.
A tutto gas
