That’s nice, but do your knees really rest on those knee pads?
My knees rest on the tank top edge, and that must be one of the most daft designs I’ve ever experienced!
Thanks very much for the comments. I’ve managed to obtain a new kickstart spring from the spares scheme and now I’ve just got to get the confidence to try and fit it! From what I’ve read it’s not too difficult a task with only needing to take the rear chain off and dropping the off side of the gearbox spindle down and hopefully fitting the new spring. My only concern is that there doesn’t seem to be enough room for the teeth to disengage to allow the ratchet to work. At the moment they are engaged permanently. I’ve read somewhere that the rear wheel shouldn’t be turned backwards or it messes something up. I’m thinking that maybe this has been done by a previous owner
