No slip tip

Hi

I thought that this little tip could be of some use.
When I fitting the magneto to my Scott I noticed that there was not much friction between the magneto base and the alloy distance that I had to make (M type magneto). I tried various solutions but came to an unexpected result. It seems that an underlay made out of thick alloy foil (the oven/freezer variety) doubles the friction! Really can’t put the finger on why.
Might use that trick on the outrigger, too.

Yup Iv’e used that before… wrapped around a bicycle handlebar that was slipping around in the headstock… guessing it works in the same way a washer does… allowing compression to add the friction??
