Nuts for Kite Forks

Just put the Scott Kite Forks together and Barry Jackson’s remade legs are superb.
However, I note that the nuts holding the top of the hollow legs (the nuts have the oil filler caps) are a good 1/8″ short of tightening up. So, I assume that there should be a half nut (or something like it that the previous owner omitted) to tighten down and hold the fork leg to the spring spronkenflangenthingen before screwing on the nuts that take the oil filler caps.
Can anyone tell me what size/thread these nuts should be?

OK. Should have asked Barry Jackson the question in the first place, since he is the girder/kite fork specialist.
For anyone wanting to know the answer, here it is :-
The nuts are 3/8″ 26tpi cycle thread.

How much of the 3/8″ BSCY-threaded top section of the legs have you got protruding up through the shoulder piece of the assembly ? Normally the cone nuts that carry the oiler cups should tighten down without even a washer under them. Perhaps during the fork overhaul, the sockets in the shoulder piece have been deepened to give a longer seating area ?

All sorted. Got the oil nuts and half nuts on the spares scheme.
Suitable 1/4″ 26tpi nickel plated oil cups can be obtained from Harrison Lubrication Engineering Limited. Go to their website and type in oil cups in the search area. The various typs of cups that they supply will come up and select threaded oil cups and the size/thread required from the drop down section. I think that the model required is C1737.

Anyone found a good gearbox undertray that they want to sell?
