Oiler Setting

Working on a 48 Flying Squirrel and not sure if the oiler is working properly.

how far out should the adjusters be.

oil seems to bubble through as if there is air in the system.

any advice would be welcome.

There is no set position for the adjusters,just set it up sothat there is 4 or 5 “spits” ( bubbles ?) to a drop.Use an “Ester” based synthetic 2 stroke oil such as Silkoline Comp 2. Good Luck Potty.

With that reduction gear, you want 2 spits and a drip I think

No,I had already taken this into consideration.with modern 2 stroke oils this is still overoiling a Scott.By using an”Ester” based oil it should not smoke however. Potty.

using Silkolene, getting 1 drop every 4-5 seconds, running well and much less smoke.
