Hi
Could anybody please measure a spoke length for me. I very stupidly cut spokes off, without measuring them correctly. Its for my 29 flyer, it has “web” stamped on the Hubs. The rims are 21″, front spoke lengths are: 8″ front brake side, 9 1/2″ other side, rear 8″ brake side, ??? chain sprocket side. Working on ratios of hub flange diameters, it should be 8 3/4″ ( If my maths is correct). the flange diameter (chain side) is 6″. Am I correct in assuming spokes are standardized in 1/4 ” increments ?

Hi, Steve Lomas at Five-One Wheelbuilding, Top Lane, Goulceby, nr Louth, Lincs., has rebuilt many Scott wheels for me over the last 28 years or so, and he carefully measures everything and notes all the measurements in his notebook. He should be able to give you chapter and verse on what you need. Mention my name !
