Club member, Peter Claydon, has decided to sell his 1972 Birmingham Scott, Registration No OMV 8K. This bike is the 2nd to last Birmingham Scott and was assembled and first registered by Southern Scott dealer Ted Murphy. Before Ted sold a new Scott, he always dismantled and reassembled the bike to ensure it was to his standard. I don’t think he liked any come-backs if it wasn’t just right!
The bike has just had a new front tyre fitted and is MOT’d and taxed I think until August, and looks quite smart with a newly painted tank.
Peter is looking for £6,500 for it and can be contacted on 01689 843265. The bike is located near Croydon, Surrey.

Not quite ‘penultimate’ Dave….but very close. The next one was WDO 408L, assembled by Murphy at the same time, but registered slightly later; and then there was WOP 988T in 1978. I owned WDO 408L for several years.
