Colin Morris (01923 671441) is proposing a monthly meeting in Hertfordshire to cater for members in this county, together with North London, and parts of Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Essex. Interested members will meet on the second Wednesday of each month at The British Legion Club in London Colney, approximately 4 miles South of St Albans close to J22 of the M25. The inagural meeting will be on 9 February at 8pm, subsequent meetings on the 9 March and 13 April etc. Please pass this message on to your friends and try to attend. I hope to write to all members in this catchment area before the first meeting, but I am up to my knees in renewals at present…..have you sent yours in yet ?

Is the meeting on 9th Feb still going ahead? The wife has given me a pass out for the evening, but haven’t read anything further on the forum.

The meeting is still on, don’t give up that pass whatever you do ! If no one else shows up we’ll divert to the West End, I’ll bring the membership renewal cash, should see us through the evening !

Hope to be writing to all members in the catchment area this weekend.

Hello again

We sent about 70 letters to local members, Colin Morris confirms that the response has been overwhelming, so I can tell you that the meeting next Wednesday evening at 8 oclock is definitely ON.

Please be assured that all attending will receive a warm welcome, and that nobody will be neglected.

Martin Hodkin sends his best wishes for a sucessful start to this new Section.

I am sorry if this news is a disappointment to those members who have obtained an evening pass and were hoping for a diversion to The Spearmint Rhino Club………..another time !

Last night at the Legion in Colney was my first ever ‘scotting’ event, and I would like to say a big thank you for making me feel so welcome.
I don’t know whether it was the beer or your infectious enthusiasm, but when I went to sleep last night I dreamt of cranks, radiators and other mechanical items! Is this the first stage of the illness?

I am now fired with enthusiasm and have already cleared my shed this morning for the impending rebuild….
