Hello
My 1929ish two speeder has a dented, leaky, and generally scruffy radiator. I am bracing myself for the purchase of a new unit from Jon Hodges, but with the riding season fast approaching, I wonder if we know of anyone who could patch mine up to keep me running. Jon tells me that it is a short term solution as the radiators suffer from stress fatigue. I am willing to give it a try, and would not expect any guarantee.
Alternatively I would be happy to purchase a better used example if one were available.
Any ideas or advice would be gratefully accepted.

Hi Richard. I understand that Paul Casini is starting to offer a rad repair and refurbishment service and that it is to be advertised in the next Yowl.Hope this helps!–usual disclaimers! Brian.
Brian
Many thanks, I’ll contact Paul.
Richard
Richard,
I have a very scruffy rad from my 1959 bike that was holding water reasonably OK before I got a new one from Jon (whiich, by the way, look very good).
You are welcome to borrow this. However, I will not be at the Chiltern VMCC this Wed as I am in Paris on business and may well be here next week as well so will probably also miss the planned SOC meeting next Wed (by the way, I’ve not seen a confirmation that this is one). However, as you will see, I am in Amersham so realtively close to you.
PS – I had to post this as I could not pick up your email address from the web site as done a couple of times before for other replies. Is this a just a short term clitch or a policy?
Regards,
Colin

Thanks for the kind offer of the loan of your spare radiator. I am lucky to have two two speeders, so I am not stuck for a ride.
I have dispatched my old radiator to Paul Casini for refurbishment. I’ll let you know how it goes.
My email address is tannandsons@aol.com. It did not occur to me to put on the m’ship form, but I will now, and also in Yowl.

Hello again
As a result of my posting on this web site in Jan 2005, I sent my radiator to Paul for repair. Unfortunately, due to Paul’s overseas commitments, I have not yet had it back.
If anyone else is in this position, would they kindly contact me as I have a kind offer from another member who is trying to resolve the situation.

Hello Richard. I understand that Paul Casini did not repair rads himself and that he has left the country for the time being at least. IF you did not get your radiators returned to you please let me know as I may be able to put you in touch directly with the repairer who might be holding your radiators……Phone me to discuss if necessary.
Regards Brian Marshall.
Thanks Brian,
I am told that my radiator is in Stoke on Trent, not at the repairers. If there is a possibility of getting it back, I thought I might as well ask if any other members were in the same position, and attempt to get the whole lot back together.
There are three members with four missing radiators known to me at present.
I guess it might be worth a call to the repairers to make sure that my information is correct, would you be kind enough to email me the contact details.
Just off to Llandrindod Wells for the ISDTW.

I gave friend Casini a radiator three or four years ago and thats the last I ever saw of it. I think there is only one real cure for leaking rads….Give Jon Hodges your pocket money! no more worries.
