My 47FS came with a non-standard rear brake plate and shoes marked ‘Brake 4278’ which I had relined by Saftek. On assembly, one of the shoes is twisted which I did not notice on disassembly.
So it looks like I need to source a shoe (or a suitable brakeplate assembly).
Would appreciate any comment on what the brakeplate is from and what shoes they are, as they do not look like they were designed for the brakeplate (do not cover the whole of the cam width).
Did try to upload photos but failed (file size > 1MB).
Brakeplate is pressed steel (so flat) with a 4 in wide plate across the centre. It has two pins that the shoes fit over (each shoe has a full hole at the end, not semi-circular cutouts).
