Hi I’m new to the Scott world I have the 1935 model.. can anyone help I’m after replacement bearings for the rear wheel I’ve tried all the suppliers and Graham from the Scott parts department.. but not good can anyone help?
The adjustable taper roller bearings with threaded inners, have been obsolete for many years, but a conversion to sealed journal roller bearings, maintenance-free, is quite easy. There are articles with drawings in ‘Technicalities’. If you can’t locate one of the articles send me a PM with your contact details, and I’ll gladly send you a copy of one of my drawings.
Hi Brian that would be great,, really struggling at the moment…

Hi Brian, do you happen to have the ball bearing part number?
Hi Brian tried the techs but unfortunatily nothing found regarding rear wheel bearing conversion. Any help would be great
Hi Colin, just out of interest, are the outer races serviceable? I have just completed the conversion (yesterday) on a 1938 model. The old rollers are fine and may be of use to you.
Hi Chris it’s the outer roller on 1 side that’s broken… but if you have just completed the conversion do you have the new bearing numbers or drawings ect
Colin,the information you want is in”technicalities” 8.3.06/07 & in “Yowl” 12/5 (Aug 81) & 17/10 (June 92).Good luck ——- “Potty”
