Rear wheel brakeplate

Can anyone help me to locate a Royal Enfield type, cush drive, 8″ rear wheel brakeplate? I would be willing to purchase a complete wheel if necessary. Any help would be appreciated.

Just to thrust this to the forefront after 19 years…I too am after a good condition brake plate if anybody has one available? Mine has wear on the cam guide tube…Any other mods appropriate for a Flying Squirrel? I’m not looking for originality as much as reliable braking!

Your backing plates are 8″, I presume?

I would be interested in one for the ’36. Please cost and I can sort freight from UK to Aust if easier for you.

Hi David,

Yes they are for 8″ Webb hubs identical to the originals, i have a couple available from the last batch manufactured but unlikely to get anymore pressed due to the costs for small batches.
