For that obscene amount of money the buyer got a very poorly executed restoration, nicely painted maybe, but wrong handlebar levers, chrome instead of nickel plating, a crude home-made rear stand, wrong mudguard stays, wrong rear number plate, wrong front brake, wrong carburettor, etc., etc.. The auctioneers’ catalogue description made me cringe….
I don’t think it would happen in the UK but you never know.
