I was faced with the job of removing a detachable cylinder head, so I took some photos of the process. Last evening I received a request for help on the same subject.

I will not claim that it was the worst case i have come across, but it worked for me and not a spot of damage on the faces.

I do realise that not everyone has a tee slotted table, but it is only necessary to find a base into which bolts can be anchored, perhaps even coach bolts in a thick plank!
