Does anyone insure over 75year old riders?
SAGA do bike insurance, and as their services are aimed at the over 65’s, I would think that they can help. When spectating at the Banbury Run I often think that a good few of the riders are older than their pre-1930 bikes ! So somebody must be insuring them…

I’m 76 and insured via Carol Nash, fully comp for my Scotts and BMW 1150 RT

Peter James will and cheaper than CN and is an excellent company. Ted Robinson.
Be very careful what cover they are actually providing. I’ve just suffered major head injuries, permenantly blinded in one eye and will not be able to ride again because a pedestrian ran into the road and knocked me off. Footman James Fully comprehensive will not pay a penny for anything other than the bike and a few quid for personal effects and MUST be deemed necessary for riding a bike. There is no compensation for injuries if another vehicle is not the cause for a claim, that might dent their profits!
I appear to have hit a brick wall with finding insurance. Footman James do not insure riders over 74,Saga do not insure bikes older than 70 and other motor cycle insurance ‘ specialists ‘ have not heard of Scott motor cycles !!!!! ( I have now put them right, but it doesn’t help)
Roger, have you tried Carol Nash?

Problem solved. Have managed to get insurance, 3rd Party Fire & Theft with Bikesure,at a cost of £96.00. This includes accidental injury up to £12000. I cited Chris’s accident to them and they assured me that the accidental injury cover is for any injury relating to the bike, and does not necessarily involve another vehicle. So Footman James can go and get..
Peter James insures my Scott and 4 other bikes no problem and I am 76. AA Breakdown cover included, agreed value also included.
