It is with great sadness & regret that I inform the membership of the passing of Roy lambert who died on Sunday 16th December.
A well known SOC figure for many years, Roy will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by friends & members alike.
A clever & skilled man, a true enthusiast, a good man who lived life to full. The club is poorer for his passing.
At the time of writing there is no date set for the funeral but this will be posted as soon as known. A Good presence of SOC
members would be a nice fitting final tribute to Roy & family.
It is intended to include a full obituary in the next issue of Yowl

Has anyone heard when Roy’s funeral will be?

Stan, provisionally Roy’s funeral is set for Jan 23rd at Worecester Crematorium. Lunch locally afterwards at The Bull PH, Fernhill Heath.
I hope to confirm this over the next few days as there has been some delays in proceedings

I cannot recall when Roy was not Midlands Secretary – in fact, he may have been the longest serving secretary in The Club’s history, or at least ranking close with Shirley.

Is it not The Club’s sixtieth anniversary this year?
