THE SCIENCE MUSEUM needs our help to win lottery money to create a really up to date museum on the old Wroughton Airfield near Swindon where so many of their exhibits are currently kept in store. They write: At the Science Museum we plan to create Europe’s biggest, most exciting and most interactive museum making a quarter of a million of the iconic objects from the Science Museum London accessible for the very first time. Inspired is one of six projects in with a chance of winning £50m from the Big Lottery. This will be decided by public vote on ITV in early December. This is crucial, for if the public don’t vote for us there will be no brand new museum, no spectacular science shows, no huge experiments and no chance to see the objects that made our world great.
