I’m 49 now but when I was 16 I served my apprenticeship at a garage in morecambe and the old boy there 58 and told me story’s about when he was a apprentice at heysham garage up the road in the early 50s . He told me many stories about a 1929 flying Scott squirrel and side car he used to ride and pick up parts on .four years ago I walked into a garage in morecambe and spotted a Scott and sidecar it turns out it was the very same bike and sidecar . I have the old logbook saying it it was bought by heysham garage in 1951 . It’s in bits at moment and I will need to ask questions from time to time as how it goes back together
What a great story. It’s a small world. Good luck with it, there is a wealth of knowledge available on here 🙂 If you can get to the gathering tomorrow you will be able to get a great head start and meet a lot helpful people.
