Some time ago I bought a job lot of Scott castings – but I dont know this part.
Is it a reproduction?
Is it a copy?
Is it a raw casting?
Take a look at the wall thickness – very thick!

If anybody is interested please message me – I do not need it.

Please help?

I think it is a magdyno cover plate. I have one on my 1929 bike. The aperture is for the mag platform mounted oil pump, and yes, they are thick!

Hi. This is for 1929 only Flying Squirrel Deluxe, and covers the right hand end of the gearbox and clutch. The 1930 version had no cutout for the Pilgrim pump as by then it had moved to the crankcase door.
