I recieved this from Mark Millhouse who I met again when I took my bike to the Newark Show last weekend. Mark gave me a “Hoody” with a large SCOTT logo on it. His business is in supplying printed clthing for clubs. Shows take time and effort, but at least I can be sure that there will be one Scott on display. In fact there was a very nice veteran Scott on a stand captioned “UK Two Strokes” When I first saw the stand, there were only Japanese two strokes there, but later the Veteran with a square tube Pendleton radiator.
The BHR presentation was a disappointment as the stand was smaller than asked for and in addition to three racing sidecar outfits, there were about seven solos crammed in a line so visitors could really not see the Scott. This defeated the object of going to a great extent. By comparison, the Douglas stand organised by Dawn Whiteoak and Dave Crouch, was laid out with space so visitors could see the bikes properly and take pictures if they wished. I took my 1951 Ninety Plus which I bought in 1970 when it was 19 years old and now is 66 years old. Where did all the years go ?
