can anyone tell me where I can get pictures or a book on the various scott models (detailed pictures) the more deeply I get into scotts the more I do not have a clue what should be where ?
I have the scott books (scott selection 1,2 & the latest book) the Yowling two stroke, the scott handbook, but nothing gives pictorial details of specific models (pictures from both sides) & what goes where, I thought it was bad with 1947-1950 scotts but when you move into the 1920-1930’s it becomes a nightmare.
is the book made to limit gauge still available somewhere or does someone have a copy for sale ?
the technicalities Cd has been invaluable with information (except for the fact that my dad has it & refuses to give it back) but the pictures are a little “copied” & to the young”ish” scott enthusiast (i.e. not growing up in that era) they need photos to help out with the technical jargon
My brother went to the scott gathering at the weekend with my dad & took over 200 photographs for me but I have come to the conclusion that there is no 2 bikes exactly the same or even close. he did pick up a book by CE Bowman which I must say has helped a lot in identifying bikes (even if it is only pencil sketches) & is well worth leafing through.
am I missing a Key part of scott photographic literature or can someone help ease my pain in what started out as a hobby but has become an obsession.
